The fund was originally scheduled to close by July 2004 but was extended to accommodate new proposals.

What kind of activities were financed from the fund?
The fund is in line with ADB’s strategic approach for ICT, which recognizes ADB’s limited financial and human resources and consists of three strategic thrusts:
- creating and enabling environment
- building human resources
- developing ICT applications and information content
